We love literary events--especially when they involve the classics. Mark your calendars for this one.
New Yorker writer and editor Roger Angell will visit the 92nd Street Y Unterberg Poetry Center on Saturday, March 6 to read from
Charlotte's Web
-- by his late step-father and former New Yorker great, E.B. White -- as well as White's
Stuart Little
and
The Trumpet of the Swan
. This event is targeted toward 8-12-year-olds.
Angell has been a New Yorker fiction editor since 1956, and his lifetime passion for baseball has led to many critically-acclaimed essays (in the New Yorker and elsewhere), essay collections and books including
The Summer Game
and
Late Innings.

This one should definitely be put into the calendar (or iPhone?). Charlotte's Web was/is one of my favorite books! Thanks for sharing. oo, L.
we are so lucky in NYC--we could go to a book reading every day if we wanted!
